LogBATT transport vehicles are on the road throughout Europe for major OEMs.
LogBATT fleet expands internationally. In order to collect HV storage units for disposal or analysis in Europe from leading car manufacturers, LogBATT Logistik’s pan-European service is increasingly booked and secured through long-term framework agreements. The trucks now travel to the UK, Poland, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Belgium, the Netherlands and other countries for well-known automotive companies. If desired, the customer receives an up-to-date overview of where his battery is located (see picture).
Compliance with the latest UN regulations and the EU legal basis of intra-European transports of lithium-ion batteries under the waste code numbers (AVV 16 06 05, 16 01 21*) are always taken into account. In addition, necessary notifications for customers are implemented in order to comply with this requirement for the cross-border transport of waste streams as defined by the EU directives.
The EU legal basis for placing batteries and accumulators on the market and for the disposal of spent batteries and accumulators is Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators (the so-called Battery Directive). “We are well on our way to realising our vision as the market leader in the transport of lithium-ion batteries in Europe,” says Michael Knobloch, Head of Sales-Marketing.
